Cambridge Police find stolen scooters, one arrest reported so far

The Cambridge Police Department says on Monday, they located a scooter that had been reported stolen.

According to the report, police in the area of Wells Street noticed a yellow scooter in a backyard. An officer on duty says they remembered that a similar scooter had been reported stolen recently.

Officials say that they made contact with Jaleel T. Wilson, 19, of Cambridge, who was seen going from the scooter into a home.

After the scooter was confirmed stolen by officials, the key to the scooter was found on Wilson, and he was placed under arrest and charged with theft. Wilson is reportedly being held in the Dorchester County Detention Center on a $4,000 bond.

Officers also reported that they found other scooters on Wells Street that may have been stolen. According to the report, officers took possession of these scooters, and will continue to try to locate the owners.
