Bridgeville man arrested after a chase through Georgetown

Delaware State Police say they have arrested a Bridgeville man after he fled from troopers at a traffic stop.
DSP claims they were looking for 26-year-old Keadre L. Smith on Friday night. Police say that Smith was wanted on a warrant for drug dealing.
We’re told troopers located Smith near the Lingo Creek Apartments in Millsboro and watched him drive west toward Georgetown.
Following a traffic stop, police reportedly approached the driver’s side. Smith allegedly began driving across a lawn before heading north on DuPont Boulevard. We’re told the chase ended on the 24000 block of Concord Pond Road.
Smith then allegedly exited the vehicle and ran into the house to only come back out moments later. We’re told he was then taken into custody.
Officers say that during a vehicle search, they found Smith’s two daughters (ages 5 and 1) inside the car. Police the girls were turned over to the mother and were uninjured.
Smith was charged with two counts of first-degree Reckless Endangering, Possession of a Deadly Weapon During the Commission of a Felony (Vehicle), Disregarding a Police Officer’s Signal, two counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child, Resisting Arrest, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and other traffic related offenses. Along with these charges, Smith was also accounted with two Rule 9 charges for drug dealings.
Smith is at Sussex Correctional Institution on $117,250 cash bond.
