Armed robbery under investigation at Cheswold Royal Farms

Police say they are looking for information, after the armed robbery of a Cheswold convenience store.

Delaware State Police reportedly responded early Thursday morning, to a report of a robbery at the Royal Farms on Fast Landing Road. Officials state that the suspect confronted a 24-year-old male employee, armed with a handgun, and demanded money from the register.

According to the report, the clerk gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of money, and the suspect then ran out the back of the store. No injuries were reported and no surveillance footage has been made available at this time.

Officials say that the suspect is described as male, 30-40 years of age, around 5;10″, and weighs about 180 pounds. He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, khaki shorts, black sneakers, and he was armed with an unknown type of handgun.
