Animal Welfare League of Queen Anne’s Co. waiving cat and dog adoption fees

To add to the heat wave, the Animal Welfare League of Queen Anne’s County is announcing an “animal wave.”

AWLQAC has a large number of pets available for adoption at this time, so they have decided to waive all adoption fees until the end of July. The league says, “now is the time to come out and meet your new family member!”

They also ask that even if you cannot adopt at this time, you can pass along the information to others who may be looking.

AWLQAC is open Tuesday through Sunday from 11 AM- 5 PM. They are the second local shelter to waive or reduce adoption fees this summer. Baywater Animal Rescue announced their Tail of a Sale, which runs through Saturday.
