Ad company bans Donald Trump banners

Seeing airplane advertisements is no shocker on Ocean Cities boardwalk. Planes advertise everything from local businesses to food and even upcoming concerts to catch the attention of tourists and locals.
Monday morning a political ad promoting GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump’s views — and attacking presumptive Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton — stirred up a heated response. The ads, towed by Ocean Ariel company read
“Stop Mad Cow Disease … Stop Hillary” and “America First. Build That Wall.”
After the initial dust settled, folks started looking into the ad company that towed the banner -Ocean Ariel. This company has been in business since 1981 and has done business with other political banners but never had this type of response.
“I’m not a Democrat or pro Donald Trump.” said Ocean Ariel’s owner, Bob Bunting. “If someone had come to be and wanted us to fly a Hilary Clinton Banner – I’m a businessman, and would have done it just the same.”
The pro Trump banners flew for one day and because of the multitude of complaints, the ad company has decided not to fly any more political banners.
Town of Ocean City Communications Manager, Jessica Waters said the aerial banners are a tradition at the oceanfront resort community. But with the constant presence of political coverage, beach-goers want to escape from the heated political debate for a short time
