A warm welcome for MSP trooper returning from Shock Trauma

Crowds gathered in Hurlock, Md. Tuesday to welcome home Master Trooper Clinton Weems of the Maryland State Police who had spent almost week in treatment at Shock Trauma in Baltimore.
Weems was injured last week when his patrol car crashed head on with a pickup truck in Dorchester County.
The trooper received a motorcade escort all the way from Baltimore with members of the state police, Easton Police , Hurlock police and others all participating.
Once he got to his house he was greeted by crowd of family and friends.
His wife Verdell spoke with our crew as Weems rested inside the house.
“I’m just filled, just so filled up with emotion and thanks for everybody that helped to do what they do,” Weems said. “I’m just grateful and thankful and I’m just overwhelmed right now and I just thank god for everything.”
From all us here at 47 ABC we wish Master Trooper Weems a speedy recovery.
