4 arrested in connection to early morning burglary in Ocean City

Around 5:40 AM on Monday, Ocean City Police officers say they responded to a reported burglary at a home in the area of 12th Street and Dayton Lane.

According to the report, residents woke up to find the home in disarray, with multiple personal items missing. In total, officials determined the items missing as being worth $3,500 in electronics, cash, and other household items, including a wallet.

Officers say they learned that one of the victim’s credit cards was used at a restaurant in the resort, and they were able to get surveillance footage that placed their suspects in the area of 10th Street and Dayton Lane, around 1:20 PM that day.

OCPD officers were apparently able to catch up with the suspects. While searching the suspects’ vehicle, officers reported that they found several items that were missing from the Dayton Lane burglary earlier in the day, as well as other items that had been reported stolen in a separate incident. Officers say they also found a large amount of marijuana, and paraphernalia in the car.

Ocean City Police say they then took Justin Castaneda, 18, Carly Davila, 23, and Juan Tamayo, 20, all of Lancaster, Pennsylvania along with Andrew Feliciano, 20, of Ephrata, Pennsylvania, into custody.

Castaneda, Davila, and Tamayo were then charged with possession of a replica weapon, theft less than $10,000, theft less than $1,000, and possession of a controlled dangerous substance with intent to distribute. Castaneda and Davila were additionally charged with first degree burglary, while Castaneda and Tamayo were additionally charged with concealing a dangerous weapon. Feliciano is also facing several offenses including, possession of a controlled dangerous substance with intent to distribute, theft less than $10,000.

After all four suspects were seen by a Maryland District Court Commissioner, Castaneda and Davila were transferred to the Worcester County Jail on $25,000 bail. Tamayo was also transferred there on $10,000 bail, and Feliciano was released after posting his $10,000 bail.
