2 men arrested in connection with burglary of Milford church

Milford police, along with the help of other police agencies, arrested 2 men in connection to the burglary of a church on Old Shawnee Road in Milford. Christopher Willey of Georgetown, and Christopher Carter of Milford, both 24 years old were taken into custody last week.
Police say the duo gained entry to the church by damaging the exterior of the building. After gaining entry, the burglars reportedly used various tools to dismantle a safe. An undisclosed amount of money was taken form the safe.
Detectives say they later discovered evidence connecting both men to the burglary. Willey and Carter are both being charged with 2 counts of 3rd degree burglary, possession of burglar tools, theft $1,500 or greater, theft under $1,500 victim is 62yo or older, 2nd degree conspiracy, and criminal mischief $1,000 to $5,000.
Willey was arraigned and committed to SCI in default of $9,000 secured bond. Carter was arraigned and released on $10,000 unsecured bond.
