1 million+ drivers went through Del. toll plazas for the 4th of July weekend

Over one-million drivers went through Delaware toll plazas for the Fourth of July weekend.
The Delaware toll plazas along I-95 in Newark, Route 1 at Biddles Corner, and Route 1 in Dover saw 1,009,081 drivers come through over the holiday weekend. Overall these plazas collected about $2.8 million from July 1 – July 4.
Over 60 percent of the trips counted used an E-ZPass, an electronic toll collection system. To see how this year compared to 2015’s Fourth of July weekend, take a look at the numbers below:
