UPDATE: Police identify two killed in Greenwood crash

Delaware State Police have released the names of the two men who died as a result of a Saturday morning accident in Greenwood.

Police say around 5:20 a.m., a 21-year-old Wayne W. Foster, Milford, was driving around a curve on Shawnee Road (SR36), when the car left the west side of the road, striking a tree. While in rotation from striking the tree, the driver was apparently ejected from the car.

We’re told the both Foster and 19-year-old passenger James A. Powell Jr., Lincoln, were not properly restrained. They were both pronounced dead at the scene.

Delaware State Police say another 21-year-old passenger, from Milford, was transported by EMS to Bayhealth Milford Memorial for serious injuries. Police say he was also not properly restrained.

Police say alcohol may have been a factor in the crash. The DSP Collision Reconstruction Unit is continuing their investigation into the crash.
