UPDATE: Felton robbery suspect in custody, after second incident

A Houston man is in custody, after Police say he committed two robberies in 12 hours.
Delaware State Police say the first incident happened around 2:30 AM on Wednesday, when a man walked into the the Canterbury Shore Stop on South DuPont Highway, walked up to the employee at the counter with a dark colored jacket draped over his arm, and demanded cash. Police say the clerk then turned over an undisclosed amount of cash, before the suspect fled in a tan or gold pickup truck and drove east on Irish Hill Road. The employee was apparently uninjured in the incident.
Police say the second incident happened later Wednesday morning, around 10:35 AM, a man walked into the Concord Liquor Store on Concord Road, in Seaford, and walked up to an employee at the counter with a dark colored jacket draped over his arm, and demanded money. An undisclosed amount of cash was reportedly turned over, and the suspect left the business in a small pickup truck, driving west towards Coverdale Crossroads. The employee was reportedly uninjured in this incident.
In both cases, the suspect was described as a man standing between 5’05”-5’07” tall, who was reportedly last seen wearing a light blue baseball hat, white shirt, khaki shorts, black sneakers. Officials said after the initial incident that the suspect was possibly armed with an unknown type weapon concealed under his jacket, and may have driving a tan or gold Chevrolet S10 pickup truck, with unknown license plates.
According to the report, a Trooper on patrol in the Coverdale Crossroads area noticed a vehicle matching that description, and pulled it over. During the stop, Police say the driver, 32-year-old Jason McBroom, matched both descriptions in the earlier incidents, and was taken into custody without incident before being transported back to Troop 4 in Georgetown.
After his arrest, McBroom was charged with two counts of robbery first degree, and turned over to the Sussex Correctional Institution on $100,000 secured bond.
