UPDATE: Dover man convicted and sentenced on gun charge

A Dover man has been sentenced, on gun charges. The Delaware Department of Justice says 22-year-old Michael Walker, was found guilty in a bench trial, for possession of a firearm by a person prohibited.
The charge stems from a September 2015 incident, where Walker, who is prohibited from having a gun due to a previous felony assault conviction, threw a 9mm handgun, that he was carrying.
It apparently happened when Police stopped Walker, during an investigation into a car accident that he was involved in, near the intersection of Forrest Avenue and Kenton Road in Dover.
After his conviction, a Judge sentenced Walker to 15 years Level V, suspended after 5 years, followed by 1 year Level IV work release, followed by 1 year of Level III probation.
