Two Seaford men arrested on gun and drug charges

According to Delaware State Police, two Seaford men are now facing charges after troopers found marijuana and a handgun during a traffic stop.

Police say around 8 p.m. Friday, a 29-year-old Seaford man was stopped for speeding on Coverdale Road. While conducting the traffic stop, troopers apparently smelled marijuana coming from the inside of the car. The 29-year-old driver reportedly told police he had marijuana, leading to a search in which over eight grams were found.

While searching the rest of the vehicle, we’re told troopers found a Glock 40 handgun, a fully loaded magazine and over $14,000 in suspected drug proceeds. The handgun apparently belonged to the 28-year-old passenger Dominique Hall.

The driver faces Possession of Marijuana and Speeding charges. Police say he was released on $275 bond.

As for Hall, he faces Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon charges. We’re told Hall was released on $500 bond.
