Tire plant supervisor pleads guilty to handgun charge

Ryan Walsh, the tire plant supervisor facing charges for allegedly pulling a gun on employees in Dorchester County, pled guilty to a handgun charge in court today.
Back in February, the Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office claims they responded to the McCarthy Tire Plant in Federalsburg for reports of a man with a gun.
An investigation of the incident reportedly showed that Walsh, a supervisor at the plant, apparently called a meeting about being unhappy with the production of some of the employees. During this meeting, he reportedly pulled out a pistol, cocked it and waved it around in an effort to intimidate the employees.
Walsh was facing several charges, but the state dropped all but one on Monday. Walsh has been ordered to pay a $500 fine and will be on probation until December 6th 2017.
