Suspects sought after teenager allegedly assaulted in Salisbury City Park

Police in Salisbury say they are looking for two suspects, after a teenage girl was assaulted in the City Park.

Salisbury Police say on Sunday around 7:00 PM, a 16-year-old girl was walking along the trails in the city park near the dog park. According to the report, two people got off their bicycles and walked up to the girl, and said nothing before one of them hit the victim multiple times in the face and head, causing her to drop to the ground.

Police say a second person just watched, before the two got back on their bikes, and left the area.

The victim apparently suffered minor non life threatening injuries, which didn’t require medical attention. Police say they are now searching for the suspects, who are only described as males, wearing athletic type shorts, one had no shirt on, while the second had a black shirt on.
