Suspect sought after house party shooting in Felton

Troopers with the Delaware State Police are currently investigating a shooting that left one teen in stable condition.

According to the police report, the incident happened just before 3:20 AM, Tuesday morning on Weatherstone Lane in Felton.

Troopers say, they received a 911 call, reporting multiple shots being fired.

Apparently, as people were leaving a house party held at the residence, an argument escalated into a fight and the shots were fired.

Authorities say, shortly after the report of shots fired, a 15-year-old victim arrived at the Frederica Volunteer Fire Department with a gunshot wound to the upper torso.

She was taken to the hospital, and is currently in stable condition. Police documents say, the victim was not believed to be an intended target of the shooting.

The investigation is in the early stages, and more information will be released when it becomes available.
