Shorebirds hold on to take BlueClaws

The Delmarva Shorebirds won their 4th game in their last 6, defeating the Lakewood BlueClaws 5-4 on Friday night, in front of the biggest crowd of the season at Arthur W. Perdue Stadium.

Ryan Mountcastle blasted a solo home-run over the second set of billboards in left field in the bottom of the fifth to give the Shorebirds the lead. Ryan Meisinger would take the ball from Reid Love after the 6th and pitch three scoreless innings, allowing just two hits and lowering his ERA to 0.85.

The teams will play the final game of the series on Sunday afternoon, first pitch is set for 2:05 p.m.
