Rylie’s Law expansion moves to Senate floor

An expansion of Delaware’s child medical marijuana law, known as Rylie’s Law, is moving to the Senate floor.

Riley’s Law allows Delaware children with debilitating health conditions to use a form of medical marijuana for treatment.

This expanded legislation in Senate Bill 181 would allow caregivers to give qualifying patients medical marijuana oil on school busses, and on the grounds of preschools, primary, or secondary schools where the child qualifying patient is enrolled.

Ernie Lopez says, “We need to make sure that we work together to make sure that we’re improving the health of children in the state of Delaware. This is a bill that I think is really going to help expand and improve access for those kids.”

The Senate is scheduled to vote on this legislation tomorrow.
