Queen Anne’s-Kent Legion ball holds down Greenbelt

The Queen Anne’s Kent Legion ball team defeated Greenbelt 5-1 in game one of their doubleheader on Saturday afternoon.
Queen Anne’s-Kent got things started in the bottom of the third inning, when Kyle Sonneveldt sent a shot down the third base line, to score Kole Klabe to take a 1-0 lead. Greenbelt would respond in the fourth when Nick Washington laid down a bunt and Moises Aristy ran home to execute the perfect suicide squeeze. Queen Anne’s-Kent retook the lead in a big fourth inning, featuring RBIs by Klabe and Sonneveldt. They would plate four runs in the fourth to win by a final of 5-1.
Queen Anne’s-Kent moves on to take on Worcester in a doubleheader on Tuesday, June 27th. First pitch is set for 6:30 p.m. at J. Edward Walter Park in Cambridge.
