Puppies rescued from Eden abuse are ready for adoption

Two puppies rescued in the massive reported puppy mill bust in Eden last April, are ready for adoption.
Their names are Kayla and Dolly. They’re currently staying at the animal control office in Somerset County. Kayla is all brown, and rather bouncy. We’re told she’d be great for an active household.
Dolly on the other hand is a little more timid, but just as friendly. Both have are spayed and up-to-date on their shots. Animal control officers say because these puppies were victims of severe abuse, they’re looking for specific characteristics in their new home.
Cindy Tawes, an animal control officer says, “We’re looking for an indoor home obviously, someone who has lots of patience, and is going to be able to give them all the care and love that they need.”
Besides Kayla and Dolly, Somerset Animal Control tells us there are still eight other puppies in their care. They’re not quite ready to go yet, but we’re told they should be available for adoption in the next couple of weeks.
If you’re interested in giving them a home, call animal control at 410-651-0986 to get the application process rolling.
