A Salisbury man is facing charges, after Police say he fired a gun within city limits.

Salisbury Police say on Sunday night, around 11:00 PM, Officers and Detectives responded to reports of gun shots being fired, on Delaware Avenue. Once on scene, Police say they found that no one was hurt, and that there was no property damage.

Officers say they met with several witnesses, who said they heard multiple gunshots in the area of the 300 block of Delaware Avenue, just before calling 911, and say a man firing the shots in the back yard of a home there.

During their investigation, Police say they found the suspect, 37-year-old Jaquai Onley, walking out of a house on Delaware Avenue. He was then taken into custody, and Police got a warrant to search his Delaware Avenue home, where he was picked up. During the search, Detectives say they seized a firearm.

After his arrest, Onley was charged with possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, possession of ammunition by a prohibited person, reckless endangerment, and discharging a firearm in city limits. He was then turned over to the Wicomico County Detention Center, where he awaits an initial appearance.
