National HIV Testing Day
Monday, June 27th is National HIV testing day and health officials are encouraging people to get tested. According to the latest statistics from the Center for Disease Control, 1.2 million people in the United States are living with HIV, out of that number 1 in 8 people don’t know they have it. According to the CDC, an estimated 90% of new HIV infections in the U.S. could be prevented by testing and diagnosing people who have HIV and ensuring they receive ongoing care and treatment. On Delmarva, Camp Rehobeth in Delaware is offering testing until seven 7 PM Monday.
