MSP: Grasonville woman found with cocaine

A 52-year-old Grasonville woman faces several charges, stemming from a traffic stop just before 4 a.m. Saturday.
Maryland State Police say Donna Mertz was stopped for an inoperative tag light. We’re told as a trooper approached Mertz, she allegedly got out of her car, attempting to flee on foot. Police say she was quickly apprehended.
After conducting a search of her vehicle, troopers say they found cocaine.
According to MSP, Mertz had four active warrants in Queen Anne’s County.
Mertz faces charges of Fleeing and Eluding, Possession of a Controlled and Dangerous Substance (Cocaine), four active warrants and traffic charges.
