Homicide investigation underway in Accomack County

A North Hampton County man was apparently found dead in Accomack County.

The Accomack County Sheriff’s Office says on Wednesday, Deputies responded to reports of a body in a field, off of Davis Wharf Road, near Craddockville.

Once on scene, Deputies and rescue personnel say they found 41-year-old Eric Clifford Rhatigan of Eastville, deceased. Officials say Rhatigan’s death is currently being investigated as a homicide. The cause of death is reportedly pending the results of an autopsy.
