Fire in Prince George’s County determined to be arson

Prince George’s County police say a fire that broke out inside of a first-floor apartment in Langley Park was an act of arson.

Police say at about 11 p.m. on Friday firefighters were alerted to a fire on the 8100 block of 15th Avenue at the same time police officers were sent to the exact location for a report of a disturbance.

Authorities say firefighters were able to extinguish the blaze and no injuries were reported. A suspect has been identified and held for questioning.

The blaze displaced four adults and six children.
