Federal officials confirm search of Peninsula Internal Medicine

47 ABC has confirmed with a spokesman from the Office of the Inspector General of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services that a search warrant has been conducted at Peninsula Internal Medicine, located at 31575 Winterplace Parkway.

Don White tells 47 ABC the information in the search warrant was not sealed, meaning there will be information publicly available at the U.S. District Court in Baltimore, where the search warrant was filed.

The Inspector General’s Office at the Dept. of Health and Human Services mission is to fight waste abuse and fraud and programs, White says, but he could not confirm whether that was the investigation going on in Salisbury.

It is important to note, he says, that the two biggest programs in the Dept. of Health and Human Services are Medicare and Medicaid.
