Police in Dover say they are investigating a carjacking, that left a man stranded.

Dover Police say on Wednesday around 3:30 PM, an 18-year-old man was in the parking lot of the Dover Mall, near Dick’s Sporting Goods, when two men walked up to him, one carrying a pipe, and the other a wooden baton.

According to the report, the two male suspects told the man to get back into his car, and got him with him, along with a female suspect as well. Police say the male suspect in the backseat told the victim that he had a gun, and told him to drive away, so the victim drove southbound on back roads, to Milford, where the suspects apparently told him to get out of the car on West Woodside Drive.

After getting out, Police say the victim went to a nearby house, to call 911. The victim’s vehicle was apparently located a short distance away by responding Milford and Delaware State Police officers. The suspects had reportedly taken the victim’s  cell phone, an undisclosed amount of cash, and his drivers license.
