Death of woman under investigation in Cambridge

Police in Cambridge say a death investigation is underway, after a woman was found dead in a home on Sunday. The Cambridge Police Department says on Sunday around 10:00 PM, they received a 911 call, in reference to a medical problem at a home on High Street.

Once on scene, Police say they found a 45-year-old woman, unresponsive in the house. Emergency Medical personnel reportedly confirmed that she was deceased, on scene. Investigators say that as with any death in a home, the investigation will be treated as a crime scene, until evidence is found to the contrary.

Police say the victim was not under a doctor’s care, so the Medical Examiner’s office was notified, and the Maryland State Police crime scene unit is assisting. Investigators are apparently waiting for the results of the autopsy.
