Dagsboro crash leaves one in critical condition

Delaware State Police say an 87-year-old woman is in critical condition after her vehicle went off road after being hit by another car this afternoon.
We’re told while traveling on Vines Creek Road, 87-year-old Ruth Elvey’s car was hit from behind by a vehicle driven by 88-year-old Mary Bradshaw. Troopers say after the initial collision, both cars went of the edge of the roadway before coming to a rest.
Elvey was treated on scene, transported to Beebe Healthcare and then air-lifted to Christiana Hospital. She is apparently in critical condition.
Bradshaw was transported to Beebe and was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
The crash is still under investigation.
