Crews battle large fire in Crisfield

Fire crews from across the peninsula are battling a large fire in Crisfied. We’re told the structure is Chesapeake Building Supply, on Crisfield Highway.

Fire crews from New Church, Salisbury, Deal Island, Fruitland, and Stockton are on scene, many bringing additional water with tankers. They are all assisting Crisfield with extinguishing the blaze.

Crews are apparently currently working to put out the last pockets of the fire, and keep it contained.

47 ABC’s Julian Sadur is on scene, and says that he is hearing from people who know the owner of Chesapeake Building Supply, that the fire was started by an AC unit. No one was apparently hurt in the fire.
