“Circle of trust” excludes black Pocomoke officer, plaintiff says

A new wrinkle in the case challenging alleged racial discrimination and retaliation among officials in Pocomoke City.
The plaintiffs are now claiming that within the Worcester County Criminal Enforcement Team was posted an alleged “circle of trust,” which they say included all six white members of the team and excluded only the black member.
They say that black Detective is Franklin Savage, who is among the plaintiffs in the case.
They allege Savage was subjected to racial epithets – and references to both the KKK and Eastern Shore lynchings.
These claims were brought up in motions Wednesday in response to the defense’s motions to dismiss the lawsuit which is pending a District Court judge’s decision whether to move forward.
