Camden man convicted of attempted murder and gun possession charges

A judge has convicted a Camden man on attempted murder and gun possession charges, in connection to an assault in September 2015.
According to the Delaware Department of Justice, 37-year-old Daniel Eyster was found guilty of attempted murder and possession of a deadly weapon, after he hit his girlfriend in the head with a hammer, during an argument. The attack caused serious injury to the woman, and led to her undergoing several surgeries.
Eyster will be sentenced in August. He faces 17 years, to life in prison.
