Cambridge woman charged with assault and violation of protective order

A Cambridge woman is facing charges, after Police say she violated a protective order, and attempted to break into a home.
Cambridge Police say on Sunday, Officers responded to reported os a violation of a protective order, at a home on Phillips Avenue. Once on scene, Officers say they met with the resident, who said that 26-year-old Heather Wheatley, arrived at the home, and tried to break in, but busting out a glass window pane.
According to the report, the victim was able to keep Wheatley from forcing the door open, but this prompted Wheatley to throw a small knife through the busted window, at the victim.
Police say they were able to take Wheatley into custody, where they charged her with first and second degree assault, third degree burglary, reckless endangerment, and violation of protective order. Officers say they also found prescription medication on Wheatley, that didn’t belong to her, which she was also charged with.
Wheatley is now apparently being held in the Dorchester County Detention Center, on no bond.
