Bishopville man accused of driving wrong way on Route 113

A Bishopville man was charged, after Investigators say he drove the wrong direction on a busy highway, while drunk.

On Saturday, Worcester County Sheriff’s Office attempted to stop a vehicle traveling the wrong direction down Route 113. Following a brief chase, in which the driver apparently nearly collided with several vehicles that were driving northbound, deputies say they were eventually able to stop the car that was driven by 39-year old Christopher Wolf.

Once Deputies pulled Wolf over, they reported that he smelled strongly of alcohol. After doing poorly on a field sobriety test, Wolf was arrested, and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving while impaired by alcohol, and fleeing and eluding. He was later released, pending trial.
