Woman involved in fatal stabbing sentenced to 30+ years

A Salisbury woman faces more than 30 years in prison after she pleaded guilty to stabbing a man in the chest at a Worcester County gas station.

A judge in Worcester County, has sentenced Kaneisha Johnson Friday, for the stabbing death of Derrick Collick back in October 2015. 

Johnson plead guilty to first degree murder and second degree assault back in March, and has been served a life sentence to all but thirty years suspended.

In addition to the sentencing, Johnson will have to serve the fourteen year sentence, for drug charges she was facing in a separate case.

Johnson’s sister, Latoya Johnson, was also involved in the alleged assault. She’s facing a maximum of 20 years in jail.
