Warriors edge out Rams to advance

The Easton Warriors gutted out a 4-3 win on the road, topping the number one seeded Parkside Rams in Salisbury on Monday afternoon.

The Warriors scored three in the top of the first, capped by a Mason Ledford sacrifice fly to score Brendan Cassell. The Rams would answer back in the bottom of the first when Grant Burleson scored on a passed ball, and Conner Shockley scored when Lucas Holmes was hit by an offering from Easton starter Jack Wheatley with the bases loaded. The Rams would tie the game in the bottom of the second when Andrew Smith crushed an RBI triple to left center.

Wheatley would buckle down and cruise for the rest of the game. The Warriors would score off a throwing error in the top of the fifth and hold on for the win.

Easton moves on to face Queen Anne’s in the regional semifinal on Wednesday, May 18th.
