Virginia Lottery: Ticket worth $1M sold in McLean

Someone in Virginia won $1 million in the latest Powerball drawing.

The Virginia Lottery says the ticket purchased at a 7-Eleven in McLean was one of more than 76,000 prize winners in the state in Saturday’s drawing. The winning ticket for the nearly $430 million jackpot was sold in New Jersey.

In Virginia, the million-dollar winner matched the first five numbers and missed only the Powerball number.

Another ticket good for $100,000 was sold at a Fas Mart in Sandston.
