Vikings run off 11 straight to top North Dorchester

The Cambridge South Dorchester baseball team scored 11 unanswered runs to slam rival North Dorchester 11-4 in round one of the playoffs on Saturday afternoon.

After trailing 4-0 after two innings, the Vikings began to chip away at the deficit in the bottom of the third, getting two runs back off an RBI double by Koby Schreiber.

The bottom of the fifth would prove costly for North Dorchester, with Cambridge plating five runs, highlighted by a Matt Elliott two run double. The Vikings would add five more runs in the bottom of the 6th, to take the 11-4 win.

Cambridge moves on to visit Colonel Richardson on Monday, with the winner advancing to the sectional final.
