Verizon and union leaders meet in DC

Meetings between Verizon and union representatives began Tuesday in Washington, D.C. to try and reach a new contract agreement for workers.

Workers have been on strike for over a month and have been working without a contract since August of last year.

Some of the problems the union seeks to address involve health care coverage and allegations that Verizon has been out sourcing jobs.

Union representatives have said that workers will continue to strike until a new contract is reached.
