UPDATE: Walk away offender apprehended

An inmate who apparently fled the scene while collecting trash along a state roadway is back in custody.

The Delaware Department of Corrections says on Thursday, 22-year-old Chad Neibert was taken into custody by the SCCC Emergency Response Team.

Neibert reportedly walked away from the Sussex Community Corrections Center in Georgetown on Wednesday.

Officials say, Neibert is being held at the Sussex Correctional Institution,pending court proceedings on the charge of escape after conviction.
