UPDATE: Route 1 in Dover reopened after fatal crash investigation

UPDATE: Members of the Delaware Emergency Management Agency say the scene of the crash along Route 1 has been cleared, however traffic is still moving slowly.

State Police say they are currently on the scene of a fatal crash on Route 1, near Fast Landing Road – Route 42.

Troopers say the incident, which involves multiple vehicles, happened around 1:50 PM, on Thursday. At least one person has died, according to Police.

The Delaware State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit is reportedly currently on scene, and has taken over the investigation.

Rout 1 is closed at Fast Landing Road – Route 42. Police are asking drivers to avoid the area, and take alternate routes.
