U of Maryland police use pepper spray to break up grad party

Authorities say they’re investigating after University of Maryland police officers used pepper spray to break up a graduation party.
The University of Maryland Police Department said officers responded to reports of a loud party at on-campus apartments early Sunday. Police say officers decided to shut the party down after they were told about a possible fight inside.
University police say that as officers were trying to get students to leave, one officer was surrounded by a crowd in a hallway and used pepper spray.
Videos posted on social media show people screaming and coughing as they left the building.
Authorities say pepper spray was used again during a confrontation in the parking lot.
Media outlets report that two people were arrested on charges of disorderly conduct and other charges.
