According to Police, an employee of the store said that a male had walked into the store, wearing a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt with FILA printed on the front with another male wearing a light-colored hooded sweatshirt and dark pants.
One of the males apparently walked up to the employee with his hand inside of his sweatshirt, acting like he had a weapon, and demanded cash from the register. The employee reportedly refused, and both suspects fled on foot.
Police say as they were searching the area for the suspects, they were called to another robbery, with the same suspects at Hollywood Tans on North DuPont Highway. This time, the employee told Police that the suspects and walked into the business, and demanded cash. One of the suspects reportedly grabbed the employee by her arm during the confrontation. Police say the victim handed over cash, and the suspects fled towards the Towne Point development.
Officers checking the area say they saw the suspects running through a backyard, and gave chase, and were able to arrest both suspects without incident. After their arrests, both teens were charged with attempted robbery first degree, conspiracy second degree, robbery second degree, and resisting arrest. Both are now being held at the Stevenson Center on secured bonds. The 15-year-old is a Harrington boy, and the 16-year-old is of Milford.
