Two men face drug charges after Dover traffic stop

Dover police say a Thursday afternoon traffic stop led to the arrests of 25-year-old Devin Thomas of Smyrna and 29-year-old Howard Johnson of Dover.

Following a traffic stop, police say Thomas was found to have over three grams of crack cocaine and less than a gram of heroin. We’re told police had a warrant for Thomas’ arrest. Thomas was apparently driving without a valid license. Police say Thomas was taken into custody without incident.

According to Dover PD, Thomas’ passenger, Johnson, had 30 ounces of with Promethazine with Codeine and was also taken into custody without incident.

Thomas now faces Possession of Crack Cocaine, Heroin and Drug Paraphernalia charges as well as traffic offenses.

Johnson is facing a charge of Possession with Intent to Deliver Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
