Traffic stop leads police to 48 grams of Marijuana

Members of the Laurel Police Department say they arrested Xavier Bruinton, 21, of Georgetown, following a traffic stop on Friday that led police to a discovery of a large amount of Marijuana.

Police say Bruinton was stopped for a moving violation in Laurel, and when the officer made contact with him, the officer noticed a scent of marijuana odor coming from the vehicle.

According to Laurel PD, a further investigation revealed Bruinton was in possession of 48 grams of Marijuana.

Investigators say Bruinton was arrested and released with a summons for a future court date.
