Stolen dirt bike leads to 3 felony arrests

Three Delaware men ages 17 – 23 have been arrested on felony charges by Rehoboth Beach Police in connection to a theft of a dirt bike on 2nd St. in Rehoboth. 17 year-old’s Jack Kelleher of Rehoboth Beach and John Baron of Lewes were caught on surveillance with 23 year old Edward Launay of Rehoboth stealing the bike.
A friend of the victim reportedly saw the dirt bike being transported in a pickup truck, which police located a short time later. Upon search of the vehicle authorities say they found small amounts of marijuana in the car.
It was also determined by police that both Kelleher and Baron attempted too burglarize a residence earlier in the day. In that attempted burglary of a home on Scarborough Ave, the two reportedly cut a screen to gain entry through a bathroom, but were unsuccessful.
All three men were charged with felonies Kelleher and Baron were committed to a local detention center, and Launay was released on unsecured bail.
