Shooting at Alder Park Apartments in Dover under investigation

State Police say they are investigating a shooting that happened overnight, and left one man injured.

Delaware State Police say around 1:00 AM on Wednesday, the Kent County Emergency Operations Center started receiving 911 calls, about shots being fired in the Alder Park Apartments complex. The incident reportedly happened near E building. A Trooper reportedly arrived on scene within a minute, and found a 25-year-old male with a single gunshot wound to his lower extremity, at the Webbs Lane address.

Police say the victim was taken to an area hospital by EMS, where he was treated for the non-life-threatening injury. No suspect information could be provided, according to the report.
