Sea Gulls Win OT Thriller, Advance to the Semifinals

The Salisbury men’s lacrosse team hosted Denison in the NCAA Tournament Quarterfinals, and Thomas Cirillo scored within 37 second in sudden death OT to give the Sea Gulls the 11-10 win.
SU will now host Gettysburg on Sunday in the NCAA Tournament Semifinals.
This game was locked at two after the first quarter, than by halftime SU was down 4-3. They only scored one goal in the second quarter and that was thanks to James Burton.
SU opened up the second half with three straight goals, by James Burton, Garrett Reynolds, and a Burton to Thomas Cirillo goal to give SU a 6-4 lead early on in the 3rd quarter.
This game came down to the wire in the 4th quarter, Su was up 9-7 as the 4th quarter started, than Denison was behind one goal, Jake Rotman found Carson Kalama who gave SU a 10-8 lead with 5:57 to go. This game looked as if it would go to SU, but Denison had other things in mind. They scored two unanswered goals, and the second one coming with 24 seconds left to tie this game up and sent it to OT.
Su opened up sudden death OT pumped and ready and it took less than a minute for Thomas Cirillo to find the back of the net and send Denison packing, and the Sea Gulls onto the next round.
