Salisbury man faces assault charges following domestic incident

A Salisbury man is now being held on bond after allegedly hitting a woman in Wicomico County.

Authorities with the Wicomico County Sheriff Department say, 22-year-old, Fernando Mota-Morla, was arrested on Thursday, after an incident that occurred at a home on Patrick Avenue.

Documents say, Mota-Morla allegedly ripped a necklace off a woman, then began hitting her in the face.

Mota-Morla was arrested and taken in front of the District Court Commissioner.

According to the records, Mota-Morla, is being charged with assault 2nd degree, and malicious destruction of property, and will be held in lieu of $25,000 bond.
