Police: Wanted man found hiding in Dover attic

Johan Rodriguez, 32, Dover, Del.

Officers say they found a wanted man, hiding in the attic of a home.

Dover Police say a fugitive wanted on gun charges, and a violation of probation, was arrested on Monday afternoon. The Delaware First State Fugitive Task Force, along with the Dover Police Department Street Crimes and Drugs, Vice, and Organized Crime Units learned that 32-year-old Johan Rodriguez was at a home on Vera Way.

During a search, they were reportedly able to find Rodriguez in the attic of the home and take him into custody without incident. After his arrest, Rodriguez was charged with possession of firearm by person prohibited, reckless endangering, possession of ammunition by person prohibited, possession of a controlled substance, and violation of probation, which stemmed from a probation check back in February.

He is now being held at the James T. Vaughn Correctional Center on a $32,000 secured bond.
